Corneal Refractive Surgery is the term used for laser eye surgery that alters how the eyes focus light onto the cornea to provide clear vision.

 

LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) and PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) are types of laser eye surgery used to correct vision problems like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

Corneal Transplant Surgery

Corneal Transplant Surgery is a surgical procedure to replace a damaged or diseased cornea with healthy donor tissue.

PKP (penetrating keratoplasty) and EK (endothelial keratoplasty) are both types of corneal transplant procedures; PKP replaces the entire thickness of the cornea, while EK, replaces only the diseased inner layers of the cornea.
